Here's What the Critics Say

Media:

The brass table lamps, dark, wood-paneled walls and tasteful black-and-white tiled floor all contribute to an elegant ambience that attracts a loyal clientele. THE HITS: fresh bread, bottomless house salad with a zesty vinaigrette dressing and the flavorful grilled shrimp Argentina topped the list. Fort Worth Star-Telegram (TX)

A sign at the door explains the dress code is casual, but the food at Mac’s would be suitable for any formal occasion. Dark paneling, white linens and shaded lights at each table add to the restaurants elegance.
……An 8-ounce top sirloin was so melt-in-your-mouth tender, it could be cut with a fork; so flavorful, the steak didn’t require any steak sauce…
…….Our waiter was attentive and friendly, stopping briefly to chat when asked about his career choices. He was also very knowledgeable about Mac’s menu, patiently explaining the extensive wine list and offering suggestions….. Arlington Morning News

The name may be deceiving, but the tasty food is not. The name might evoke an image of a rough-and-tumble, blue-collar neighborhood bar, but Mac's Bar & Grill is anything but that.
A pressed metal ceiling, sprawling hardwood bar, a black-and-white tile floor and warm, dim lights evoke a Gatsby-like, 1920s elegance - a swank but cozy place to share an intimate meal.
The food's not bad, either. It's reflective of the environment: tasteful, understated and enjoyable…..an eclectic menu that ranges from Cajun to Mexican, seafood to steak. Unlike some restaurants that try to hit every ethnic food for everyone and fail miserably, Mac's has found a few, wildly diverse dishes it does really well. Fort Worth Star-Telegram

Patrons:

We started eating at Wall St Bar & Grill in Midland when it opened some 30 years ago. When we moved to Arlington in 1985 we were thrilled to find our favorite restaurant just down I-20 from us. We've celebrated holidays, birthdays, and anniversaries at Mac's ever since. And the Sunday Brunch is the best in town.

It's one of the best restaurants in the DFW area, from great prime rib, to all you can eat dinner salad, to the always tasty gumbo you will find what you crave. Did I tell you the service is always friendly and quick? ask for Gary the waiter; he is the best and wears the most unique cool looking ties. Go and enjoy!
